Language Garden presents, from Berkeley, poet Sophia Dahlin! To celebrate the release of her newest collection, Glove Money (Nightboat Books), Sophie will read poems alongside Scottie Harvey and imogen xtian smith.



Sophia Dahlin is a poet in Berkeley. Her first collection, Natch, was released in 2020 by City Lights Books, and her second book, Glove Money, is forthcoming from Nightboat. She leads generative poetry workshops and teaches youth creative writing. With Jacob Kahn, she edits a small chapbook press called Eyelet, and with seven other poets, she curates a weekly reading series at Tamarack, Oakland.

imogen smith is a poet & transexual. She is the author of STEMMY THINGS & the forthcoming RAW & ZERO, both from Nightboat Books. Her writings have appeared in this journal & that, & she is the recipient of fellowships from The Poetry Project & NYFA. imogen recently moved to LA, loves true punks, hates cops of all denominations, & believes in a free Palestine.

Scottie Harvey has a BFA (Film & TV) and MFA (Dramatic Writing) from NYU. Scottie’s dramatic work has been featured at Dynasty Handbag’s Weirdo Night and her writing will be included in Michelle Tea’s Clown Anthology (DOPAMINE, 2026). She is co-host of the monthly sold out “Animation Clubhouse” with Sam Lane. Scottie is currently writing her first novel about the last Cold Stone Creamery.



The Language Garden Reading Series is programmed by Corina Copp, Sophia Le Fraga, & Joseph Mosconi, with interventions/germinations from David Horvitz.
